Rule 1.  WE WILL BE A USBC SANCTIONED LEAGUE.

Rule 2.  League will Bowl on Thursday nights at Eastland Lanes practice begins at 6:45 pm and will start bowling at 7:00 pm. League will bowl a 12 week season format starting on, March 11th, 2010. The 12th   week of bowling will be on, May 27th, 2010.  Pay out of awards for the league will be held on June 3rd, 2010 at Eastland Lanes.  Should for any reason the league not be able to bowl as scheduled the league may be extended to accommodate a full 12 week season.   Sanction Fees Men’s ($19.00) Ladies ($20.00) must be paid on 1st Night of Bowling. This is a USBC Sanctioned League and the International Gay Bowling Organization.  Unless otherwise stated herein all USBC Rules apply.

Rule 3.  The league will consist of as many teams we can get to join us with a playing strength of 3 members per team. The names of players, as well as any changes in the roster during the season, are to be reported by the team captain to the league secretary before a player competes.

Rule 4. League fees, which must be paid by each member each session, shall be $12.00 of which $9.00 covers the cost of bowling, and $3.00 will be placed in the account for a prize fund. The League fee for the 12th week of bowling shall be prepaid prior to the completion of the 11th week of bowling. No refunds shall be made for bowling fee. Fee shall be paid on a weekly basis (NO PAY NO PLAY.) Bowlers will fall no more than one (1) week in arrears.  It is the team’s responsibility to keep team fees current, including fees for bowlers who quit mid-season.  The League will do all possible to find replacements, however financial responsibility remains with the team in order to allow blind or absent bowler scores to count.  A bowler who wishes to quit must give team and league officers two week’s notice and would be responsible for all league fees during those two weeks.

Rule 5.  Entering averages of all players shall be established the 1st night of bowling. Individuals entering the league with an established average shall use that average as the bases for calculating handicap until they have bowled at least 9 games.

Rule 6. Handicap will be 100 % of the difference between a bowler’s average and a scratch figure of 210.

Rule 7.  The league will consist of: a Mixed of any combination of males and/or females. Substitutes will be permitted to participate in the league. A substitute or replacement may be a male or female.

Rule 8. The minimum legal lineup of 1 player must be present before the completion of the first frame of each game. Regular members and substitutes (unless league rules provide otherwise) count toward a legal lineup.

Rule  9.  When bowling in a known forfeit situation or scheduled against a non-existent team in a bye situation, the team must bowl at least the team average less 10 pins per player to earn the points.

Rule 10.  The absentee score will be the absent member’s average minus 10 pins.

                 Teams having an incomplete roster (vacancy on the team) will use a score of 120 for the vacant position, which shall be used for the basis of determining handicap. (Refer to USBC Rule 105d, Items 1a and 1b.)

Rule 11.   Teams may request to pre-bowl or post bowl with advance approval from a league officer.  You must call the center to lane availability and they will need to put you into “League Make-Up” for scores to count.  DO NOT pay the house for bowling during pre/post bowl, either pay in advance or when you return on the leagues regular bowling night. Team pre-bowling/post-bowling must be completed within 7 days prior to/after the scheduled week.  Post bowling will not be permitted on position night/the final night of the season.  There will be only one position night on week 12.

                   Note – Pursuant to USBC rule 111a.  Individual pre/post bowling is prohibited.

Rule 12.  A bowler who arrives late may enter the game provided 4th frame have not been completed. In this situation frames missed may be made up.

Rule 13.  Team position standings shall be determined on a point basis, with 2 point(s) awarded for each game won and 1 point awarded for series

Rule 14.  Date we will not bowl if any; none during this session.

Rule 15.  Bowlers must conduct themselves in a sportsman like manner at all times. Foul language and abuse of bowling equipment shall not be tolerated.
